If you saw the BBC series “A Garden Lost In Time” you may already be familiar with the magic of Aberglasney. If not, this is your chance to discover it. Aberglasney is well on its way to emerging from centuries of neglect and through the hard work and enthusiasm of dedicated staff, trustees and volunteers it has earned a well-deserved reputation as one of the UK’s most exciting garden restoration projects.

Their ten acres contain six different garden spaces including three walled gardens. At their heart is an Elizabethan/Jacobean cloister and parapet walk, now fully restored and an unique reminder of garden architecture previously known only from the history books.

The most recent addition is the “Ninfarium”, a unique Atrium filled with exotic perfumed plants.

Set within the cloisters is the restored Cloister Garden, based on the extensive archaeological survey carried out during 1999 which uncovered features dating back to the 16th century. The investigations also took the possible age of the site back to the 13th century with the discovery of a silver Long Cross Penny from the reign of Edward I. A cafe in the grounds serves delicious light lunches and snacks and, in the summer, tea on the terrace overlooking the Pool Garden. There is also an excellent shop and plant sales area.

Summer (April to September): 10am - 6pm (last entry 5pm).
Winter (October to March): 10.30am - 4pm (last entry 3pm).

The Garden and Shop are open every day except Christmas Day.
