Dan-yr-Ogof, The National Showcaves Centre for Wales offers a unique world of mystery and discovery, exploration, fun and learning for all members of the family.

Walk through 3 spectacular award-winning Showcaves. In Dan-yr-Ogof, let the Morgan Brothers, who first explored the cave, take you on the journey they first undertook over ninety years ago. Cathedral Cave allows you to enjoy some of nature’s finest work; the enormous main passageway decorated with thousands of delicate straw stalactites, and the free-flowing waterfalls through which the cave pathway snakes, lead you into the awe-inspiring Dome of St Paul’s. Bone Cave is the site of an excavation of 42 human skeletons and other artefacts dating back over 3,000 years to the Bronze Age. This cave tells the story of man’s struggle to survive, along with cave bears, hyenas and wolves!

The accompanying dinosaur park is one of the largest in the world with over 130 life-sized models, and you can wonder at how people lived in the replica Iron Age Farm. A visit to the Shire Horse Centre is also recommended where you can enjoy the company of these friendly giants, along with the many other farmyard animals.

First admittance from 10.00am. Last admittance 3.00pm.  Open between April 1st - October 31st.
