An alternative kind of holiday cottage – environmentally aware, but luxurious too
Hen Dy is the former farm house at the Organig Parc farm. Dating back in part to the 1800s, but recently redesigned and converted by award winning architect Gruffydd Price, the farmhouse blends eco-friendly principles and five star luxury. It sleeps seven in four bedrooms and comes complete with TV and DVD players in every room, an Aga-Rayburn cooker. Its stylish interior is adorned with specially commissioned paintings and prints and elegant fabrics and furnishings that accentuate the original character of the cottage.
Organig Parc itself is to be found at the heart of the Llyn Peninsula, a 300 acre organic farm in an Area of Outstanding Natural beauty that comes complete with its own mountain, river valley, lake and ancient church. The grounds have been designed by the Julian Dowle Partnership, winners of the 2005 RHS Chelsea Flower Show Gold Medal. And if you enjoy fishing, vistors will be able to enjoy free use of the on-site organic trout farm too.
