Category: Place to Visit
Situated above the River Conwy and with the Snowdonia mountain range as a backdrop, Bodnant Garden is one of the most beautiful gardens in the UK
Bodnant Garden specialises in growing beautiful and amazing plants from all over the world with a particular emphasis on China, North America, Europe and Japan. Flowers and plants are chosen not just for their beauty but for their suitability to the Welsh climate and soil.
Whatever time of year you visit you’ll be rewarded with an extravagant display of spectacular colour. You’ll be enchanted by Camellias, Magnolias, Daffodils and Rhododendrons in Spring. In late May and early June, deciduous Azaleas are at their best – and don’t miss the famous Laburnum Arch, a 55 metre scented tunnel of yellow hanging flowers. Summer sees shade loving herbaceous plants, blue hydrangeas and the national collection of Eucryphias out in flower. Autumn visitors will be delighted by a dazzling display of leaf foliage in varying shades of reds, greens, purples and golds.
Bodnant Pavilion Tea Room blends tastefully with the surroundings and is an attraction in its own right.
