Category: Places to visit, Pembrokeshire

Not to be confused with the wild and uninhabited Broad Haven on the Castlemartin peninsula, this small town has a few shops, pubs, and plenty of accommodation. Not only that, it’s conveniently located for excursions to the many attractions of St David's, Haverfordwest, or Milford Haven. Just over the hill (or round the cliffs at low tide) from Little Haven, you’ll find a small beach which overlooks several rocky islets managed by the National Trust. With its firm golden sands it provides an ideal base if you are looking for a traditional seaside holiday with the family! The town is also popular with fishermen and nature lovers alike who are drawn to Bosherton Lily Ponds, three reed-fringed lakes created in the late 18th century for coarse fishing. Beautifully landscaped, the westernmost lake is the prettiest as it hosts a carpet of lilies (visit in late spring and early summer when the lilies are in bloom). You can fish here if you get your permit from Ye Olde Worlde Café in nearby Bosherton.
