Category: Places to visit

At the heart of Swansea’s historic Old Maritime Quarter and overlooking the River Tawe, you’ll find Wales' oldest and the city's most influential privately run independent art gallery. Founded in 1962, the Attic Gallery is a great exponent of contemporary grassroots and local artists.

Throughout the year, there is a series of exhibitions by different artists which reflect the full range of artistic experience. You’ll find a mixture of solo show and exhibitions which display a range of paintings, original prints and sculpture, nearly always by artists living and working in Wales.

A visit to the Attic Gallery is an ideal way to experience the vibrancy of Welsh cultural life and best of all, entry is free.
