Category: B&B

A stay at Capel Dewi Uchaf is all about tranquillity. The surroundings and interior will only add to your sense of wellbeing.

You’ll find Capel Dewi in 34 acres of lush pasture land, bordered on one side by the Towy River, complete with 500 metres of prime salmon and sewin fishing. On the other is an area of Special Scientific Interest which attracts a wide range of bird species. If you’re a garden fan, you’ll love it. The house also boasts a wonderful organic vegetable plot. For horticultural delights on a grander scale - Aberglasney is just five minutes down the road. And for the foodies amongst us, Capel Dewi is just a short walk away from the famous Y Polyn restaurant. Co-owner of Y Polyn, Simon Wright, is the star of the TV show The Wright Taste as seen on BBC2 Wales.

Then there’s the house itself. Family run and beautifully restored with a quirky eye for detail that includes a wind-up gramophone, it’s the perfect place for a quiet break. Whatever it is about Capel Dewi Uchaf, it comes together in perfect summer moments spent enjoying their award-winning breakfasts on the terrace overlooking the garden.

There is also a self-catering cottage and stabling for horses.
