The Millennium Coastal Park is a visionary project which has transformed 20km of coastline from industrial wasteland into green parkland. Located on the Burry estuary, Llanelli, the park provides stunning views of the Gower Peninsula and an opportunity to cycle in a traffic free zone. The smooth, flat 22 km cycle track which links the park’s unique range of attractions, has been described by Sustrans as "one of the finest stretches of the whole National Cycle Network going from Pembrey Country Park to The National Wetland Centre of Wales at Penclacwydd. The newly opened Discovery Centre is a landmark building, providing a focal point for the MCP and North Dock developments. There are activities for everyone from cycling to bird watching to walking to sailing. The park attracts over one million visitors a year, making it one of the most popular tourist destinations in Britain.Other attractions include the Millennium Wetlands and a Coarse Angling Centre of Excellence.

Why not spend the day discovering some of the many fascinating plants and animals found here? There are many different habitats found within the park including sand dune, lake, salt marsh, fen, woodland, stream and semi-natural grassland.
