Y Polyn

Heather Davies - visited in April 2010

Y Polyn offers a unique, stylish, inspirational dining experience. The food is delicious, quality local produce being prepared with innovative creativity, and a strong emphasis on flavour and simplicity of presentation. There are no gimmicks or complications here to lure in the ravenous passer by or local resident - just refreshingly uncomplicated, honest, outstanding hearty fodder, sufficiently memorable to entice people back. The ambience of the restaurant hits just the right note with wooden floors, scrubbed pine tables, and a mellow, laid back, homespun feel that feeds the senses almost as much as the food does. The chefs, quite clearly, are passionate about what they do, and the front of house staff always offer friendly, warm, attentive service. This place is a joy.
