Hafod Y Garreg, Mid Wales & The Beacons

Hafod Y Garreg

Erwood, Builth Wells, Powys, LD2 3TQ

01982 560400

Category: B&B;, Mid Wales & The Beacons

This charming B&B has been officially dated as the oldest house in Wales.

While it is no longer a working farm, the pretty garden is home to rare breeds of hens that provide you with delicious eggs for breakfast, enjoyed in the breakfast room overlooking the garden, and you can probably feed the hens that come to the door for tit bits!

Fantastic candlelit dinners are in the 1402 dining room, or you can treat yourself to a meal out at one of the excellent local gastropubs.

The local area is also blessed with a great deal of olde worlde charm. Much of the rolling landscape of larch woods and lush fields has probably changed little since this house was built in medieval times, providing a welcome stress-free oasis of peace and relaxation.
