Overlooked by the imposing Rhinog mountains, in a stunning seaside location on the fringes of the vast wilderness of Snowdonia, this grade II listed converted farmhouse is surrounded by an embarrassment of natural riches. So much so that William Wordsworth himself declared that it can 'hold its own against any rival' in 1824. And it hasn't really changed since.

Vast beaches, quiet valleys and majestic peaks are all there to take in, but if you fancy taking it easy, the farmhouse is very informal and welcoming, with good food and a selection of very reasonable wines to hand. A more peaceful and relaxing spot would be hard to find.
