Go Ape! is a giant obstacle course, but with a slight difference. Instead of crawling through the mud, you’ll find yourself high in the sky going from tree-top to tree-top. It’s a brilliant way to discover your inner simian and challenge yourself like you’ve never been challenged before.

Safety is, of course, a paramount concern and every visitor will find themselves kitted out with harnesses, pulleys and carabiners, before being given a thorough talk by the on-site instructors. Not that this will lessen the adrenaline rush you’ll feel as you take on the ladder, walkways, bridges, zip lines and tunnels on the five-stage course, 40 feet up.

  • Highest Point: Site 3 Zip Wire Platform 13m
  • Longest Zip Wire: Site 5 167m
  • Longest Crossing: Bosun's Chair, site 4, 18.5m
  • Total length of all crossings: 744.5m
  • Number of crossings: 39
  • Number of sections: 5

Part of a UK-wide group, Margam was the first Go Ape! course to open in Wales, with two other to be found in Pembrey Country Park and Coed-y-Brenin near Dolgellau.
