The Oriel is a fascinating museum showcasing the Island of Anglesey’s history, culture and wildlife. It’s also a place for local artists and craftspeople to exhibit their work, from established artists to young talents alike.
The gallery was opened in 1991 by HM the Queen and is a leading venue for renowned artists like Sir Kyffin Williams and Charles Tunnicliffe, one of the most famous wildlife painters of his generation.
Themed exhibitions display a fascinating mix of archaeology, social history and works of art. Oriel Ynys Mon also stages poetry readings and concerts featuring the best Welsh singers and instrumentalists.
