Extraordinary, exotic garden in the grounds of an excellent restaurant

Nick Priestland’s other love (besides good food – see The Cors restaurant) is his garden. Translated from the Welsh, Cors, means bog or marsh and as these grounds are surrounded by streams on all sides, one can see how damp, often humid conditions prevail.

The garden’s design with its 2.5 acres of architectural features, ponds, sculptures and unusual plants, bamboos and tree ferns, makes the most of the rare setting. There is real flair in the design and a special feeling of being quite remote and insulated from the rest of the town of Laugharne.
