Peerless views of Cardigan Bay are the backdrop to the excellent restaurant at the heart of this stylish hotel that effortless combines the contemporary with the historic. It’s an easy place to relax and enjoy some classic cooking that benefits from a real passion for the best of local produce and a commitment to seasonality. The style is ambitious and exciting but satisfying too, a starter of Home Smoked Duck Breast served with balsamic glazed Rhydyfelin strawberries is typical of the style as is a main course of panfried Fillets of Welsh Sea Bass served with a chorizo croquette, garlic sautéed potatoes, and a samphire, tomato, shallot, fresh basil, and olive oil salsa.

The quality of the ingredients is allowed to shine through whether that’s a sirloin steak form native Welsh Black cattle or delicious Yswyth Valley lamb. The lunch menu offers similar quality but with some imaginative lighter options such as roast plum tomato soup or “magic” Welsh rarebit made with Tomos Watkin’s Magic Welsh Lager. A great place to unwind, enjoy breathtaking views and indulge in some top-notch Welsh cuisine.
