The Penrallt is an imposing and stylish Edwardian mansion perched impressively above the glorious coastline of Aberporth Bay. A beautifully renovated hotel, it is also the home to the Bay Restaurant an elegant dining venue serving modern British food with a real emphasis on quality local produce (of which there is a wealth in the area) and seasonality.

Breakfast and dinner are served in the charming panelled dining room from Tuesday to Saturday with a traditional lunch served on Sundays. Typical of the offering are starters like Rhydlewis smoked salmon with laverbread blinis, watercress and horseradish ice cream or scallops marinated in heather honey and mint, on endive with crispy Carmarthen ham. Main course might include rack of Welsh spring lamb, spinach, butternut squash, black pudding and lamb reduction, oxtail salad with summer vegetables or roasted salmon, Pembrokeshire crushed potatoes, tomato pesto salsa and red chard. Finish with the likes of Brecon vodka baba with poached pear or a classic apple tart tatin with butterscotch sauce and cinnamon ice cream. There is also the Terrace Restaurant which offers a relaxed setting in which to enjoy a range of dishes from a light snack to a three-course meal.
